In 2011, OutSmart took the bold step of developing its own app, introducing the digital work order and permanently moving away from the paper version. Since the launch of the first version in 2012, the digital work order app has evolved into an indispensable tool for companies with field services worldwide.
The growth of both the successful app and the company called for a new, state-of-the-art public cloud infrastructure. OutSmart sought a partner who not only had the necessary technical expertise but also the vision and agility to meet future demands.
With the desire for this new cloud infrastructure, OutSmart began its search for the right partner. Digital Survival Company emerged as the ideal partner for the future. Amid ongoing projects, we began the journey to replace the existing infrastructure. After a successful initial phase, we committed to creating an entirely new cloud environment and ensuring a seamless migration. AWS was recommended as the ideal cloud platform, based on the requirements for scalability and flexibility.
We shared a clear vision of how cloud services would enhance OutSmart's value chains. These services were delivered through a DevOps approach by a multidisciplinary team (MDT), allowing OutSmart to focus entirely on its core business. The MDT continuously monitored the platform’s availability, security, integrity, capacity, and performance, ensuring that OutSmart could benefit from optimal operation.
Results at glance
The service for OutSmart required in-depth combined knowledge of AWS and related services. The entire migration process focused on rapid development, value creation, quick recovery from incidents, and controlled implementation of changes. All processes were monitored by expert Survivors with the right skills and mindset.
In addition, we built a landing zone, created and migrated several RDS databases, and developed a customer monitoring dashboard. These additions expanded OutSmart’s capabilities and improved their operational efficiency. We also implemented regular changes, making the environment increasingly larger, more professional, and more secure.
The successful cloud migration was driven by a clear vision, the right knowledge, expertise, and effective communication. Digital Survival Company now continues to manage the new AWS cloud infrastructure to fully support OutSmart. Both parties look back on a positive and successful collaboration.
